Based in Hong Kong, Lam works across moving image and installation, combining DIY sound and digital processes with an earlier foundation in drawing and painting. She focus of how hyperrealities and visual culture produces semantic shifts as images, sounds, and language circulate across screens, files, and interfaces.
At the core of her work is an interest in entanglement, a interlacing of emotion, systems, and phenomena. Her materials come from fragmented sound recordings, everyday images, and founded digital archives, using them to trace the frictions between: difference and sameness, and also material experience and mediated representation. Digital anthropology, semantics and cognitions are her fields of interest.
Born 1999, currently based in Hong Kong. She is one of the studio resident at Interval:in for 2023-2025. She is also co-founded an art collective, B-Complex, established in 2023, residents in Foo Tak ACO from 2024 to present.
