Handover: Hack(ed) & Recover(ing) is an art worker’s exit audit, a zine unpacking institutional extraction and deploying the laboured body as infrastructure to refuse systemic digestion in the art life machinery.

Structured as a spatio-temporal traversal between the highs and lows of art life hidden behind white walls, this zine navigates the raw physical mechanics of 9-to-6 art space labor through a perspective as a young Hong Kong artist.

From high-season temporal elasticity and low-sugar faintness on the fourth day of fasting to the subversion of daily reporting logs and workplace cuteness as defense, Handover documents a journey of cultural hacking art labor amidst bloat, performative enthusiasm and precarity.

On 20 Sept, this zine was launched at WITHIN, an artist sharing session accompanied with a crafting workshop: Magic Crafting: A workshop in Pocket Shrine.
