





Tangential nature

Breaking free behind the canvas, the wooden bars split and reform into intersecting shapes that cling to the wall. Like a treasure map unfolding in dimensions, they scatter across the hidden points on the gridded net like dashed lines—carrying the linear order while going beyond it. Much like the vacancies in dashed lines, shifting between search and calculation, extending tentatively while holding a moment of await.
These two paintings are layers detached from narrative objectives, woven into the colors through points, lines, and planes. The abstract brushstrokes are born from intuition, where one is asked to immerse deeply in the environment to make intuitive decisions, thus capturing the essence of sounds radiating in all directions away. Drifting sounds await to be contained, with the process of drawing almost mirroring a reverent prayer: only through patient waiting in the unreserved exposure, until achieving inner balance through attentive external listening, that the last thoughts be recalled. The self acts as a vessel where there’s a back-and-forth on the roles of creators and observers, diminishing recognition of forms and shapes until a shape is formed. Careful consideration to untangle the complexities, to select and order, to question, and to embrace – all of these subtle methods sculpt the spatiality of sound.

一組兩件:50 x 60 公分、37 x 50 公分
木條從畫布背後掙脫,分裂,重組成交叉的形狀。虛線般排列,試探又計算;又正如虛線,延伸卻有所保留;交叉的十字撒網般分散在隱藏的點上,保持卻又超越本應有的秩序。
畫作主要以線條附於顏色上產生脫離意象上的點,線,面。 捉摸不定的筆觸模擬聲音與空間的縱橫走向,直覺性的判斷需沈浸於漫長的等待之中。游離的聲音,散落的邊框——繪畫甚似虔誠的禱告:毫無保留的曝光後,唯有耐心地等候自我與終結的同步。只是主體是「我」作為一個暫時的空間,在這裡,我與造物者的角色輪流交替,我等待事情被我聽見,我讓聽見的事情被發生。來回比劃以模糊書寫的肌肉記憶,甚至企圖混和一點一線的認知。保持這種恆久的平衡需要花心思去整理複雜的關係:整列,紀錄,分離,重組,放置,選擇,質疑和接受,都是旁敲側擊的方法來雕塑聲音的空間。
